SSUGT presented developments at the IT job fair "COOKIE FEST"

Students of the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies presented their IT developments at the COOKIE FEST IT job fair. Among them: A software and hardware complex for visualizing human tactile studies for people with visual impairments, software for a biometric security system at an enterprise, a virtual fitting room for online clothing stores, a conceptual design of a geographic information system to optimize the accounting and control of the technical condition of small architectural objects, a bracelet for the hearing impaired, the development of portable acoustics, the Babay service, a hardware and software complex for building 3D models of building roofs, etc.

For the first time, the IT job fair "COOKIE FEST" was held in the Novosibirsk region. The event was held with the support of the Government of the Novosibirsk Region together with the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Novosibirsk Region. The project partners were SoftMall and Information Systems and Services.

The opening ceremony was attended by First Deputy Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Yuri Petukhov and Minister of Digital Development and Communications Sergey Tsukar.

Representatives of employing companies and educational institutions became participants of the COOKIE FEST IT job fair.  The program of the event included exhibitions of companies-employers and presentation of student projects, career quest, master classes.

“Holding the fair is aimed at the interaction of all persons interested in the IT sphere, thus, - commented Alexander Karpik, Rector of SGUGiT. - The event is aimed at creating communications between representatives of companies-employers and students of higher and secondary educational institutions. Our university trains specialists in demand by the modern economy, research work at SGUGiT is an obligatory component of the training system.  The system of research work of students is aimed at mastering the techniques and skills of performing research work, developing abilities for scientific and technical creativity, independence and initiative. Its results are the hallmark of our university.”

Among the employers that took part in the project are Sberbank, 2GIS, Tinkoff Education, InfoSoft, Sovcombank Technologies, Electronic City, Eltex, LDKS, SoftMail, Staffcop, Digital Economy League, Forward, 1C-Rarus, ITConstruct, Computers Group and Networks”, Novosibirsk Regional Innovation Fund and others.
