A graduate in the field of training «Standardization and Metrology» is a specialist who participates in the processes of obtaining and applying measurement information, technical regulation and standardization. The graduate's area of activity can be implemented in the energy, aerospace, instrument-making, biotechnology industries, non-destructive testing in the production of competitive goods and services, as well as in the creation of goods for the defense industry. Taking into account the active implementation and use of automated systems in modern management, the training program includes the study of software products in the field of production management.
The main task of a standardization and metrology specialist is to monitor, organize and manage work to ensure the unity of measurement processes, create relevant regulatory documentation and organize the production of both serial and unique measuring equipment.

Educational practice is conducted on the territory of SSUGIT, as well as on the territory of various scientific and industrial organizations. To master practical skills, our own laboratory for various types of measurements is used, as well as the production equipment of basic specialized enterprises. Industrial practice takes place at leading enterprises of Russia, in government bodies, and institutions of the regional innovation infrastructure. After completing industrial practice, in most cases, students begin a career at the enterprise, which contributes to further employment as a certified specialist.
