Organization and management of technosphere safety is a pressing task for all employers. The functioning of technosphere facilities is associated with a number of risks, the implementation of which can lead to temporary disruptions or complete destruction of the established order of interaction between economic entities of different levels. Consequently, ensuring technosphere safety at economic facilities is the most important problem in our country. In this regard, the relevance and timeliness of training specialists in this area has increased.
With the development of the technosphere, the problems of the state of the industrial and environmental environment, human life and health have become the most pressing. Specialists in this field are engaged in ensuring human safety in the modern world, creating a technosphere that is comfortable for human life and activity, minimizing man-made impacts on the natural environment, preserving human life and health through the use of modern technical means, control and forecasting methods. At present, it is necessary to comprehensively solve the issues of protecting people from accidents, natural disasters and other emergency situations. Graduates who have mastered the bachelor's degree program can carry out professional activities in the following areas: fire prevention, fire prevention and extinguishing; labor protection; environmental safety; protection in emergency situations; waste management; water purification; water treatment.
As part of the training in the direction of training "Technosphere Safety", highly professional specialists are trained who are able to effectively, using fundamental, applied knowledge and innovative technologies, carry out professional activities in the field of creating a comfortable environment for human life, who are able to:
- select and calculate the main parameters of means of protecting people and the environment in relation to specific conditions based on known methods and systems;
- carry out work on the application of means of ensuring safety, rescue and protection of people and the environment from man-made and anthropogenic impacts;
- develop sections of projects related to safety issues;
- develop measures aimed at reducing the impact of negative factors on people and the environment;
- conduct an economic assessment of the developed protection systems or proposed technical solutions.
The area of professional activity of graduates includes mastering competencies for performing work to ensure safety in the areas of labor protection; environmental safety; protection in emergency situations and fire prevention.
Graduates who have mastered the program are prepared to solve professional problems in organizational, managerial and expert activities, supervisory and inspection and audit activities; and also have the skills of scientific research work.

The educational program provides for educational and industrial practices, including the acquisition of skills in working with modern methods and technologies in the field of technosphere safety. Modern software, instrumentation and equipment of the SB RAS institutes and organizations are used to perform practical classes.
In order to obtain practical skills in mastering the acquired competencies, industrial practices are provided in specialized organizations and enterprises. Practical training is conducted in production conditions at real economic facilities. The experience gained in working with regulatory legal acts in the field of technosphere safety, modern software and the latest equipment allows the graduate to prepare a final qualification work, and also makes them competitive in the labor market.
Graduates of this program can work at any economic facility as an engineer for industrial, environmental, fire safety, labor protection at industrial enterprises, in government bodies and local governments; a specialist in the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision, the State Labor Inspectorate, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
