A meeting of students with the Minister of Education was held at SSUGT within the framework of the “GosStart.Dialogue” project

On March 21, at the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies, in a warm atmosphere, a meeting of students with the Minister of Education of the NSO Maria Nailievna Zhafyarova took place.

The topic of the meeting was the prospects for education in Russia, how the younger generation can influence its condition. Students were able to directly ask questions of interest to the Minister of Education and receive a competent answer. During the meeting, the following issues were discussed: what tasks and problems exist in education, whether students can influence education and in what ways, whether there are targeted places from the Ministry of Education, problems of employing students during their studies and a number of other issues.

Students also inquired about the personal history of Maria Zhafiarova:

– How did you come to become the Minister of Education?

– I worked for many years at a pedagogical university in the psychology department, worked at a school, and also had experience working at a pedagogical college. I did not have the task of becoming a minister; I did not go towards this purposefully. In fact, there is nothing romantic about this position. In any position you need to work with dedication. Do everything you do as painstakingly as possible and in the process you will begin to enjoy even the most tedious work.

At the end of the meeting, the presenter indicated that the guys could give feedback to improve such events, suggest speakers for new meetings, and photographs were taken from the event.
