«Interexpo GEO-Siberia 2025»: a key event in the field of geospatial technologies
On May 22, the 21st International Forum Interexpo GEO-Siberia, the largest event in Russia dedicated to geospatial technologies and the economics of spatial data, was successfully completed at the Novosibirsk Expocentre. This year, the forum brought together more than 3,000 specialists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Mongolia, Zimbabwe and Nigeria.
For the 21st year in a row, the main organizer has been the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies. Co-organizers include the Association «National Association of Self-Regulatory Organizations of Cadastral Engineers», the Government of the Novosibirsk Region, the Novosibirsk City Hall, the Office of Rosreestr for the Novosibirsk Region, the Roskadastr PPC and the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography.
The forum was held with the support of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Siberian Federal District, the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography, with the participation of the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region and representatives of the largest Russian and foreign companies, universities, and institutes of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The general sponsor was Sberbank PJSC, and support was also provided by the SRO Association «OKIS», LLC GC «ZemGeoKad», LLC «GEOKAD plus».
The forum included:
- 10 international and 4 national conferences with 500+ reports;
- an exhibition of the latest technologies: surveying equipment, UAVs, digital services for smart cities and agriculture;
- a plenary session, a TEDx conference, panel discussions, round tables;
- an international geodesy olympiad.
As part of the forum, a memorandum of understanding in the field of scientific and educational activities, as well as for the purpose of information interaction, popularization of technical knowledge between SSUGT and Shakiriam University (Semey) was signed.
Based on the results of the congress, scientific collections will be published (indexed in the RSCI, ISSN and DOI).
The participants highly appreciated the organizational level and relevance of the topic «Economics of Spatial Data», emphasizing the prospects for the development of the geoindustry in Russia and the world.
The forum once again confirmed its status as a leading platform for professionals in the field of geodesy, cartography, digitalization and spatial data management.
