SGUGT students at the All-Russian School of Young Scientists "Information Security"

In the period from November 14 to 20, students and undergraduates of the Information Security Department of the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies took part in the work of the All-Russian School of Young Scientists “Information Security”, which was held at the Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Informatics.

As part of the workshop (bootcamp) "Intrusion Detection System (ISS) Security Event Analysis", participants were introduced to the tools for working with core and perimeter traffic of the corporate network, the formation of IDS security logs using Suricata open source tools; event analysis using the ELK application stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).

SSUGiT students Alexander Kosheutov (2nd year of training in Information Security), Ivanov Kirill and Baturina Marina (3rd year of training in Information Security) took III place for the best report on the Workshop "Intrusion Detection System Security Event Analysis (ISS)".

Students of the Institute of Optics and Information Security Technologies took part in the scientific-practical conference "Actual tasks of information security of digital analytics" with reports on current topics in the field of information security:

- Khan D. (1st year master's student in Optotechnics), Vlasenko A. (student in Information Systems and Technologies) - Development of an access control system using computer vision technology;
- Soldatov A., Soldatov E. (4th year students of Information Security training) - Issues of risk management in managing information security solutions.
