SSUGT at Technoprom: A Look into the Technological Future
The Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies participated in the 12th International Technological Development Forum "Technoprom-2025," held August 27–29 at various venues in Novosibirsk. The event served as another key federal platform for discussing the current state and trajectories of the country's technological development, as well as the role of science and education in this process.
At the Novosibirsk Expocentre, university representatives enthusiastically immersed themselves in the forum's business agenda. At the discussion "The Future of Engineering Education: Key Trends," experts discussed the challenges posed by Industry 4.0 and 5.0. The session "The Role of Russian Ministry of Education and Science Projects in Achieving Technological Leadership Goals" showcased the contribution of leading engineering schools and the Priority program to ensuring the technological sovereignty of the Russian Federation.
At the Siberian Venture Fair, university students presented their innovative projects, demonstrating the practical focus and relevance of the education they were receiving.
University representatives also presented an exhibition of SSUGIT VR projects in the "Technological Kaleidoscope: Drones, Robots, VR" tent.
Svetlana Sergeevna Yankelevich, Acting Rector of SSUGIT, took part in a roundtable discussion on higher education. The discussion addressed pressing issues such as the education system's response to the talent shortage in economic sectors, the results of the admissions campaign, the transition away from the Bologna Process, and the search for effective solutions for training competitive specialists.
