SSUGT created a 3D model of a tank
The Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies has created the best project of a static 3D model. Anton Ursulov, a 3rd-year student majoring in Ammunition and Fuzes, modeled a tank based on the specifics of the Soviet school of tank building. Work on the tank began in early September. At the moment, work on the tank is ongoing. The project is supervised by Marina Petrovna Egorenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Photonics and Instrumentation, PhD in Engineering.
The project participated in the youth scientific and practical conference "Engineering Graphics and 3D Modeling" and won 1st place in the nomination "Best Project of a Static 3D Model".
The purpose of this work is, based on both real and experimental equipment samples, to identify specific solutions inherent in tanks of the Soviet and post-Soviet school of tank building, and to create a model of my vision of a tank of the transitional generation from the second to the third, as well as diversify it with modification options. At the moment, work on the independent parallel torsion suspension units, as well as the gun unit, has been completed.
The hull is in a state of external readiness, with the exception of individual systems such as fuel receivers and equipment for mounted equipment. The internal component of the model is still at the stage of revision. It is necessary to create an engine-transmission compartment, an automatic loader, complete the armoring of the necessary areas of the tank, as well as many other small systems.
