SSUGT hosted the NTO finals among schoolchildren in the “Urban Studies” profile

The venue for the final of the National Technological Olympiad among schoolchildren in the Urban Studies profile was the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies. 38 high school students from 10 regions of Russia took part in the final. The Olympiad has been held for 4 years with the aim of popularizing engineering fields.

During the Olympics, teams worked on projects that were aimed at improving areas of the city of Novosibirsk, with the goal of making them comfortable, safe and economically attractive for future residents.

The competition was held with the support of Rosreestr, the Ministry of Education of the Novosibirsk Region, the Government of the Novosibirsk Region, the Department of Education of the Novosibirsk City Hall, the Regional Center for the Development of Creativity of Children and Youth, the Zemgeokad group of companies and Geocity LLC.

– As part of the Olympiad, schoolchildren went to the territory of the Leninsky district of Novosibirsk on a sightseeing tour in order to determine the problems of the territory, solved certain problems in geoanalytics, worked on projects, and made presentations of their development projects. It’s noteworthy that there were guys who didn’t win last year, but this year they prepared and got first places,” commented one of the organizers of the Olympiad, director of the Institute of Cadastre and Environmental Management, Alexey Viktorovich Dubrovsky.

Prize-winners: Liliya Khabibova (Moscow), Vadim Oleinikov (Nevinnomyssk), Ekaterina Bogdanova (Moscow), Andrey Savary (Moscow), Sofia Zolotova (Moscow), Victoria Bogdanova (Moscow).

The winners of the Olympiad in the individual competition were: Maxim Pluzhnik (Mikhailovsk), Sergei Yatsunenko (Belgorod), Anastasia Kolosova (Mikhailovsk).

In the overall team competition, the winning team “MKU 2-0”: Maxim Pluzhnik (Mikhailovsk), Sergei Yatsunenko (Belgorod), Anastasia Kolosova (Mikhailovsk), Victoria Bogdanova (Mikhailovsk).

Winners and prize-winners of the NTO “Urban Studies” profile upon admission to universities receive additional points for the Unified State Exam as part of taking into account the individual achievements of the applicant. The guys were also awarded with prizes and diplomas.
