09 April 2025

Kirill Antonnikov and Konstantin Kaigorodov, students of the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies, are developing a virtual museum project "ArtHistory" in the Unreal Engine environment. Their goal is to make art and history accessible to everyone using modern technologies. The development is being carried out at SSUGIT on the basis of the research laboratory of prototyping under the supervision of Nikita Sergeevich Golovachev.

«ArtHistory» is an interactive space where users can immerse themselves in historical eras and get acquainted with masterpieces of art in high-quality 3D visualization. The museum includes three sections: the prehistoric world, the art gallery and historical events.

The project was launched in October 2024 and has already attracted the attention of teachers of the «Regional Education Center», who noted its potential for additional training.

– We want everyone, regardless of circumstances, to be able to get acquainted with masterpieces of art and ancient eras in an interactive format,
– the developers note.

The team plans to expand the exhibitions, add a VR mode and multiplayer excursions. In the future, "ArtHistory" promises to become a unique platform for interactive study of culture and history.
