Photo Report

From October 13 to December 18, 2025, the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies hosted a Project Festival aimed at preparing student projects for participation in the federal program "Student Startup." The program encourages students to develop new products, technologies, or services using the results of their own scientific, technical, and technological research that have commercialization potential and are in the earliest stages of development.

On December 18, the final round of the "Idea Competition" was held as part of the Project Festival. Over 90 applications were submitted. Thirty-two projects were selected for the final round, covering three tracks: digital technologies, creative industries, new devices, and production technologies.

The students had to convince experts of the innovativeness and competitiveness of their projects. The project defenses were evaluated by experts:

Andrey Sergeevich Zabolotny – Deputy Head of the Project Department, Novosibirsk Regional Innovation Fund

Aleksandr Mikhailovich Makanin – Category 1 Expert, Project Department, Novosibirsk Regional Innovation Fund

Svetlana Andreyevna Ruskova – Head of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department, Novosibirsk City Hall

Yevgeniya Aleksandrovna Kovalenko – Deputy Head of the Department - Head of the Innovation and Exhibition Activities Department

Dmitry Yuryevich Smirnov,PhD (Econ.), Associate Professor, Department of Applied Informatics and Information Systems

Tatyana Yuryevna Bugakova, Head of the Applied Informatics and Information Systems Department, PhD (Eng.), Associate Professor, Head of the Project and Initiative Support Center

Dmitry Mikhailovich Nikulin, Head of the Department Department of Photonics and Instrumentation, PhD, Associate Professor

Tamara Andreevna Samoylyuk, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Special Devices, Innovation, and Metrology

Valeria Aleksandrovna Pavlenk, Head of the Department of Digital Economy and Management, PhD, Associate Professor

– All the projects presented were at varying levels of development, from ideas to MVPs. However, it's important to note that the majority of projects already have prototypes, which demonstrates the students' interest in their work. I encourage the students to continue their progress and apply for the Student Startup competition, the winners of which will receive 1 million rubles to implement their scientific and technological ideas. Students are always welcome to contact us at the Novosibirsk Regional Innovation Fund for advice on the UMNIK and Student Startup competitions, as well as on completing applications for these competitions,
– noted Andrey Sergeevich Zabolotny, an expert in the Digital Technologies, Creative Industries, New Devices, and Production Technologies track.

Within each track, the most developed projects were highlighted and given special recognition by the experts. The projects received gifts branded by the FSI (Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises):

  • Development of sensors for monitoring/predicting the condition of waste rock (Pavel Aleksandrovich Yalovoy, Igor Denisovich Shatz, Egor Alekseevich Zinoviev, Arseniy Aleksandrovich Rostovtsev);
  • Software for calculating the shape of an iris diaphragm petal (Victoria Ruslanovna Kostyleva, Andrey Nikolaevich Doroshenko, V.S. Boldyrev).

A high-precision household temperature meter (Egor Evgenievich Rozhkov, Diana Evgenievna Yunchenko) received an invitation to the Siberian Venture Fair without a qualifying round.

All projects received individual recommendations from experts for participation in the federal competition "Student Startup," the "UMNIK" competition, and the A:START acceleration program.

The Project Festival organizers wish the winners and all participants continued success in advancing their projects and express their gratitude to the experts who participated in evaluating the projects!
