Unified Open Day of Universities of the Novosibirsk Region
On January 21, students and staff of the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies (SSUGT) actively participated in a large-scale Open Day of Higher Education Institutions, which brought together 19 universities in Novosibirsk and the surrounding region. The event provided prospective students with the opportunity to explore the diversity of educational programs and learn about educational prospects in the region.
SSUGT's booth was very popular among visitors. University representatives provided detailed information about the university's program offerings, research developments, and graduate employment opportunities. Prospective students and their parents were interested in the university's in-demand technical programs, including geodesy, cartography, information systems, optical engineering, and information security.
Marina Petrovna also noted that the university places special emphasis on developing technical education. Specifically, physics has become a required subject for admission to programs such as optical engineering, instrumentation, photonics, and optoinformatics.
Furthermore, the issue of admission to the university after graduating from technical schools and colleges was discussed. Now, when applying to SSUGIT after secondary vocational education, the student must adhere to the relevant field of study: the college program must correspond to the program or specialty at the university. At the same time, the university is flexible in this regard and offers graduates the opportunity to enroll at SSUGT.
