Today, the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies (SSUGT) is an innovative scientific, educational and production complex, a modern technological university with an entrepreneurial focus, training specialists and conducting scientific research in the field of geospatial activities in the interests of Russia.

Remaining true to the traditions of its predecessors, the university staff is actively developing a geodetic engineering school, providing an opportunity for students, master's students and postgraduates to receive a modern, high-quality education.

The university successfully fulfills its mission - training specialists capable of independent work in a wide range of Earth sciences and sustainable development of territories, optical technologies, information systems and information security, economics and jurisprudence.

Currently, the university occupies a leading position in interaction with the real sector of the economy and implements a number of projects that are of great importance for the formation of the state economy and the development of scientific research.

The university includes three scientific and educational institutes: the Institute of Geodesy and Management, the Institute of Cadastre and Nature Management, the Institute of Optics and Information Security Technologies; the Research Institute for Strategic Development; and the Novosibirsk College of Geodesy and Cartography.

The university's continuous education system includes training specialists in secondary vocational and higher education programs: bachelor's, specialist, master's, postgraduate and doctoral programs.
