Information about student dormitories
SSUGT has two student campuses. A branch of Sberbank, a market, stores, cafeterias, traffic intersections for all types of transport, and underground stations are in the vicinity.
No.1 Student Campus
Located on the left bank of the Ob river near the University, at: 8а, Plakhotnogo St., 8/1, Plakhotnogo St.
Dormitories No. 1 and No.2 have an in-line room arrangement. Each room accommodates 3-4 students. Two kitchens, a washroom, shower rooms and toilet facilities are available at each floor. There is a laundry with automated washing machines and other sanitary-and-technical equipment, as well a room for drying and ironing the laundry on the first floor. The rooms are equipped with all necessary furniture (table, chair, bed, bedside chest, a shelf for each resident and a closet). Taking up residence, students receive textile products (a mattress, a blanket and a pillow) and bedding items.
No.2 Student Campus
Located on the right bank at: 36, Pisareva St., 36/1 Pisareva St.
Dormitories No. 3 and No.4. are sectional. Each section has 2 or 4 rooms. Each room accommodates 3-4 students. Every section has toilet facilities, shower and a washroom. A laundry with automated washing machines and other sanitary-and-technical equipment, as well a room for drying and ironing the laundry can be found on the floor. The rooms are equipped with all necessary furniture (table, chair, bed, bedside chest, a shelf for each resident and a closet). Taking up residence, students receive textile products (a mattress, a blanket and a pillow) and bedding items.
Assigning students to dormitories
All 1-year in-class out-of-town and foreign students are provided full accommodation for the entire period of education. Extramural students are offered accommodation in the dormitories for the end-of-semester exams or defence of a special graduation project.
The pass system
Each dormitory has a pass system. Outside parties are allowed to student dormitories till 10 p.m. (at week-ends and on public holidays – till 11 p.m.) only upon residents’ invitations, on presentation of a personal ID. Close relatives have round-the-clock entry, with temporary passes of the registered form or on application. Video surveillance and fire-alarm systems are installed for security purposes. All students – dormitory residents are required to attend mandatory safety orientation.
Checking-in
Accommodation in SSUGT dormitories is provided for students who have concluded a residential lease agreement and an agreement for additional services to dormitory residents. The accommodation lists are compiled by the Dean’s Offices’ staff upon enrollment orders. Students have a right to choose a campus for accommodation. To this purpose, they need to submit an application in advance specifying the address of the chosen student campus. Dormitory check-in is at the end of August.
To check-in, student must present their:
- ID;
- Medical certificate, form 086-У;
- 1 photo (3х4) in the electronic format for a dormitory pass.
Check-in procedure:
Step 1.
A student finds one’s name in the lists on the university’s site to see which student campus and dormitory s/he will be residing in. Upon arrival to the campus, a student should approach group leaders in the dormitory lobby. Then a student signs a residential lease agreement and an agreement for additional services to dormitory residents. Along with the agreements, students get referrals for payments and bedding items.
Step 2.
Go to a medical aid post in Student Campus No.1 located in the passage between Dormitory No. 1 and Dormitory No. 2, and give your Medical certificate, form 086-У, to the medical staff at the medical aid post.
Step 3.
Paying for accommodation. Payments for accommodation and additional services are made via the University cash desk (1 floor of the Main Building) for 6 months at a time. Payment for the first semester must be made by September 10 and for the second semester of the academic year – by March 10.
Step 4.
Obtain a temporary pass from Dormitory Head for residence in the dormitory, a room key and textile products (a mattress, a blanket and a pillow), as well as bedding items (if necessary). Check out the Residence Regulations for student dormitories of Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies and the University Rules of Conduct. Fire safety instructions are given by Dormitory Head or members of a voluntary fire team.
Temporary registration
To get a temporary registration at the place of their stay, out-of-town students, including those residing in the Novosibirsk region, should go to the Administrative-Medical Block, room No.121 (Student campus No.1, the passage between Dormitory No. 1 and Dormitory No. 2) to see a passport regulations inspector. Please take your ID and the residential lease agreement. Students subject to military draft should also have a military registration card to register at the Military Commissariat of the Leninsky District. Foreign students from both the CIS and countries outside the CIS should go to the International Education Centre of the University (Laboratory Building, 3rd floor, room No. 337) to obtain temporary registration at a place of stay. Please have your ID and the residential lease agreement.
