Demand for the graduates: Major (profile) of the educational program “Military optics”: graduates work at enterprises, industrial companies and research centres that develop optical and optoelectronic devices and in the fields related to CAD technologies, simulation of optical imaging, its processing and reconstruction, and embark on post-graduate studies.

Demand for the graduates: Major (profile) of the educational program “Optical and optoelectronic devices, systems and complexes”: graduates are able to solve the following professional tasks: simulating work of optoelectronic devices based on physical processes and phenomena; experimental research to create new technical optics, optical and optoelectronic devices and complexes; developing competitive technologies to obtain, store and process information with use of optical and optoelectronic devices and systems; developing new technologies for manufacturing technical optics, optical and optoelectronic devices and complexes; development, production and support of optical and optoelectronic devices  of different purposes. To this end, the Master’s Program provides for developing a broad range of universal, general professional and professional competences through studying more than 30 subjects, some of which are optional in the student curriculum.

Demand for the graduates: Major (profile) of the educational program “Technologies for obtaining, storing, processing and protecting information using optical and optoelectronic devices and systems”: graduates work at industrial enterprises specialized in optical and optoelectronic devices, photonics (АО Shvabe – Instruments, Shvabe – Defence and Protection, a branch of UOMZ Production Association, Ural-SibNIIOS, Catod, Ekran – Optical Systems, Ekran – FEP,  Novosibirsk Semiconductor Plant with OKB, Vostok  NPP, etc.), research institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Institute of Automation and Electrometry, Institute of Laser Physics, Institute of Semiconductor Physics and its branch – Design-and-Technological Institute of Applied Microelectronics, Design-and-Technological Institute of Scientific Instrument-Making), Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies and other universities in Novosibirsk and in Russia. Graduates also work at organizations and companies involved in development and support of information security, security audit of different organizations, verifying whether information systems meet the information security requirements, design, implementation and support of information security systems in the Russian Federation such as the Office of the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control in the Siberian Federal District, Atlas Research and Technology Centre.
