Atmosphere

SSUGT is a place with a unique atmosphere. Here, students not only study, but also develop spiritually and physically. The university has creative groups that perform at the best venues in the city and the country, sports and fitness halls and venues operate, and interesting events take place throughout the year. All SSUGT students know the unique atmosphere of the university and the intense rhythm of life at the university. Every year, the university hosts about 500 events that unite students and make their lives bright and memorable.

Over the years of its existence, the university has developed its own traditions, which are known far beyond its borders. The festival "Prism of Cultures" is held at SSUGT, where you can get acquainted with the culture of various countries and peoples, the festivals "Debut of a Freshman", "Initiation into Students", "Tatiana's Day", "Student Spring", "Graduate Day", "Student Autumn" and "KVN Festival" have become annual and gather a huge number of participants.

Especially popular among students are creative competitions and projects "Dancing with the Stars of SGUGiT", "Toch-v-Toch", "Miss and Mister SGUGiT", "Stars of Sports of SGUGT" and the most striking project, which all students of SGUGiT and not only know, is the "Rector's Ball". The ball has been held for more than 10 years and gathers on the dance floor not only teams of SGUGiT students, but also teams from other universities, a renowned jury and hundreds of spectators. All this creates a unique atmosphere of student life.

The youth club "Pervye" (First) has been opened at SSUGT, which unites the activities of all public movements and self-government bodies of SSUGT. The following public movements and self-government bodies operate at the university: the Council of SSUGT students, the council of SSUGT elders, the council of dormitory elders, the student eco-volunteer league "Wind of Change", the headquarters of student squads, the SSUGT people's squad "Berkut", the headquarters #MYVMESTE, the student media center "Mediasphere SSUGT", the center of culture and creativity, the student sports club "Panthers", the volunteer fire brigade, the patriotic club "I am proud", the center for scientific research and project activities, the educational and scientific center "Planetarium", the discussion club "World without Terror", the united trade union committee of employees and students, the project office.

The rhythm of life at the university is created, among other things, by bright sports events, victories and achievements of SSUGT athletes. Sport is a reliable assistant in life, it forms a culture of optimism, a culture of cheerfulness and gives students the opportunity to communicate and have similar interests.

The sports life of SSUGT students is a variety of sports sections, participation and leadership in inter-university competitions and constant self-improvement under the guidance of experienced teachers and professional coaches.

The teams of SSUGT regularly become winners and prize-winners at city, regional, all-Russian and international tournaments. The strongest athletes of the university are united by the student sports club "Panthers", which is among the TOP-5 student sports clubs in Russia.

In order to create an effective service of the information service system for users, a youth information center was opened at SSUGT. The center provides reference and consulting support to students on all issues that arise.
