From March 2 to 5, 2026, the International Industrial Forum and Exhibition "MashExpo Siberia 2026" is taking place at the Novosibirsk Expocentre. On March 4, representatives of the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies (SSUGT) attended two key events: the university's Vice-Rector attended a strategic session on youth engagement, and students participated in a large-scale job fair.

The forum's business program included a roundtable discussion on "Strategies for Attracting and Retaining Young Professionals in Industrial Enterprises in the Novosibirsk Region." Marina Egorenko, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at SSUGT, delivered a presentation on the integration of theory and practice in educational programs and the role of universities in the development of regional technology clusters. In her presentation, she shared her experience in training personnel for high-tech industries.

Along with the business program, a field trip to the exhibition was organized for university students. First- to fourth-year students from the Institute of Optics and Information Security Technologies (IOITS) and the Institute of Geodesy and Management (IGiM) attended the specialized job fair "#JobsForYoung."

As part of student-company interactions, future specialists had the opportunity to directly interact with HR representatives from leading industrial companies participating in the fair. Students tested their skills in initial interviews, and consultants from the "Work of Russia" recruitment center helped each student develop a personalized path to successful employment. In addition, the fair featured live streams of presentations from employers offering flexible employment options.

Participation in such events allows SSUGT students to meet potential employers while still studying, and the university to strengthen its ties with the region's industrial sector.
