Saratov State University of Geology and Technology students reached the finals of the All-Russian hackathon for development of a national messenger.

A team of second-year students from the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technology successfully competed in the first all-Russian student hackathon to create services for the national messenger MAX. Alexander Zaburunov, Polina Markelova, and Andrey Zubarev participated in the "Efficiency" track, developing a chatbot for tracking healthy habits and advancing to the finals.

The hackathon, organized by MAX and VK Education with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, kicked off on October 16 and brought together over 2,700 students from 286 Russian universities. The finals took place at Bauman Moscow State Technical University, where over 50 chatbot and mini-app prototypes were presented.

The participants from SSUGT demonstrated a high level of aptitude for creating innovative solutions aimed at improving quality of life and developing the digital environment. Their project, developed in just seven days, was among the best.

– The event was organized at the highest level. After registration and presentations in the auditorium, the superfinalists were selected, who then presented their projects in a two-minute pitch format. From these, the jury selected nine winning teams, who shared a prize fund of 3 million rubles,

This success confirms the high level of training of SSUGIT students in digital technology and their ability to solve pressing problems in Russia's rapidly evolving digital environment.
