SSUGT Career Days: Investing in the Future of Students and Graduates
From February 24th to 26th, the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies (SSUGT) became a magnet for future professionals and leading employers. As part of the large-scale event "SSUGT Career Days 2026," the university opened its doors to 40 promising organizations ready to offer students and graduates opportunities for internships, internships, and subsequent employment.
The three-day event brought together representatives of the university administration, including Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs M.P. Egorenko, institute directors A.V. Dubrovsky, A.V. Shaburova, and V.G. Salnikov, as well as department heads. Their active participation underscored the importance of establishing strong ties between the academic community and the real economy.
«SSUGT Career Days 2026» featured a variety of interactions. The key event was a roundtable discussion where institute directors, department heads, and representatives of organizations discussed current issues related to student internships, graduate employment prospects, and the creation of targeted positions. This open dialogue allowed for the identification of common areas of growth and the identification of new avenues for collaboration.
The poster session provided a true networking platform. Participating companies presented their projects, discussed their corporate culture, and answered all of the students' questions. Employers conducted individual interviews, provided valuable career development advice, and offered specific internship and placement opportunities. Students had a unique opportunity to meet key market players, establish themselves, and take the first confident steps toward building a successful career.
Special attention was paid to defense and security issues. At the Novosibirsk Region Military Commissioner's booth, students received comprehensive information about service in the Russian Armed Forces, specifically about the possibility of serving as unmanned aerial system operators. This field is becoming increasingly relevant and promising, and the university strives to provide its graduates with a well-rounded education.
The 2026 SSUGT Career Days were a vibrant and productive event that enriched the student community's knowledge and experience. The event not only provided invaluable insights from employers across the country but also helped future professionals make informed decisions regarding their professional paths, providing a powerful impetus for achieving new career heights.
