SSUGT served as a venue for the international educational event "Geographical Dictation"

The Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies once again became one of the venues for the international educational event "Geographical Dictation," organized by the Russian Geographical Society.

Since 2015, the Russian Geographical Society, at the initiative of Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the Society's Board of Trustees, has been holding a geographic dictation, the main goal of which is to unite everyone interested in the geography, ecology, history, and culture of Russia.

The university organized a geography festival for over 100 participants. Before the dictation, guests and students were able to immerse themselves in the topic: watch thematic videos and films from the Russian Geographical Society, and participate in educational quizzes and games, where the most active participants received memorable prizes.

The traditional support from the crew of the International Space Station has become a well-deserved tradition for the participants at the SSUGT site. SSUGT students and schoolchildren demonstrated the greatest enthusiasm in writing the dictation.

SSUGT has also prepared additional prizes for its social media followers. To participate in the giveaway, you must be a subscriber to the "SSUGIT. We are open to the world" or "SSUGIT Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics" VKontakte groups and send us your results. The three best submissions will receive special prizes from the university.
