SSUGT took part in the XI International Scientific Conference
The Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies took part in the XI International Scientific Conference "Regional Problems of Remote Sensing of the Earth".
The XI International Scientific Conference "Regional Problems of Remote Sensing of the Earth" was held in Krasnoyarsk on the basis of the Siberian Federal University from September 10 to 13.
The conference was attended by specialists from various state and commercial, scientific and educational organizations from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Murmansk, Simferopol, Krasnodar, Kazan, Samara, Perm, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Barnaul, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Abakan, Yakutsk, Khabarovsk, Almaty and Bishkek.
Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Nature Management of SSUGT Vladimir Aleksandrovich Khamedov, together with colleagues from the Irkutsk National Research Technical University and the Altai State University, presented a report at the conference on the topic of "Space Monitoring of Forest Cover Transformation in the Influence Zone of the Cascade of Angara Reservoirs", and also gave a lecture on the topic of "Study of the Variability of Natural-Territorial Complexes of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation" for the school of young scientists organized within the framework of the conference.
The conference in Krasnoyarsk is one of the few on the topic of remote sensing of the Earth. Every year, for eleven years now, it has been a unique platform for exchanging experience and strengthening ties between specialists in the field from different regions of our country and other countries.
- This year, traditionally, a section on artificial intelligence and big data was added to the sections on D33 systems and methods, monitoring the state of territories using satellite technologies. Expanding the conference’s subject matter will allow for the implementation of new, more technologically advanced approaches to processing geospatial data and increasing the efficiency of practical implementation of projects, commented Vladimir Aleksandrovich Khamedov, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Nature Management at SSUGT.
