30,000 trees planted in the Novosibirsk region

On October 8, within the framework of the All-Russian campaign “Save the Forest”, in accordance with the tasks of the federal project “Preservation of Forests” of the national project “Ecology”, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Novosibirsk Region held a large-scale planting of young trees. The Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies took an active part.

The Save the Forest campaign is aimed at combating the consequences of forest fires, developing the volunteer movement, developing and popularizing a responsible attitude towards nature, as well as reproducing and preserving forests.

The all-Russian action "Plant a Forest" within the framework of the national project "Ecology" has been held for seven years and is available to everyone. In the fall of 2022, volunteers, students, the military, employees of the forestry, as well as the administration of the Novosibirsk region, participated in the project in Novosibirsk. From SGUGiT, second and third year students of the direction "Ecology and nature management" took part in the planting.

In total, during the event, 30,000 pine and larch trees were planted on the territory of the Novosibirsk Region on a site with a total area of about 6 hectares.
