A national scientific and methodological conference was held at SSUGT

From March 19 to March 21, 2024, the National Scientific and Methodological Conference with international participation “Topical Issues of Education. Transformation of the higher education system in the new technological order.” The purpose of the conference: exchange of ideas, discussion of achievements and problems within the stated directions, integration of scientific knowledge and practice.

On Russian Science Day, February 8, 2024, Vladimir Putin held a meeting of the Presidential Council on Science and Education, where the updated version of the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation, issues of financial support for domestic science, and the development of the activities of the Russian Science Foundation were discussed. Today, great attention is paid to the higher education system in Russia and in order to achieve the goals voiced by the President at the meeting, it is necessary to analyze the existing higher education system in Russia and make proposals for its transformation. The proposed topic of the conference corresponded to the tasks set by the President.

Within the framework of the National Scientific and Methodological Conference, 15 events were held: 6 section meetings (section “transformation of higher education”, section “practice of using digital twins and artificial intelligence in education”, section “transformation of natural science and mathematics education in modern conditions”, section “transformation of the higher education system in the field of land and property relations in the era of digital technologies”, etc.) 8 round tables and a plenary session, at which experts in the field of education made presentations (adviser to the Chairman of the SB RAS Gennady Sapozhnikov, assistant to the Senator of the Russian Federation Marina Ananich, rector of SSUGT Alexander Karpik and others). Entrepreneurs, higher and secondary educational institutions of the country, Kazakhstan and other guests also took part in the conference.

The university has formed a cluster of continuing education, which makes it possible to implement breakthrough educational models, including models of problem-oriented project-based learning. During the conference, we will be happy to share our rich experience with colleagues, discuss current issues related to the formation of mechanisms for the higher education system in Russia, taking into account the modern challenges posed to us by the Russian economy,” commented the rector of the university, Alexander Petrovich Karpik, during the conference.
